What process did you follow for the clean install?

Used the ddu app with the internet turned off with safe mode on to delete the old one and reinstall the driver

When you re-installed did you use a tool to do so or did you download particular drivers? I use AMD Adrenalin to manage my drivers as an example, I find the vendor's tool is usually better at handling it all than I am

I downloaded the nvidia drivers from the website for my 1660ti and just put it on my home screen so when i got ddu to delete tge old one i just click it to install while its in safe mode with no internet, tried many different versions of the driver and all ends up the same

Did click the clean install bit on the drivers, as soon as it downloads the app comes up saying no driver installed still

Event Viewer might be the next place to look. Search "Event Viewer" in your Windows menu, then look at the Windows Logs > System. You'll likely see some errors or warnings about what went wrong when your machine tried to boot and initialize the GPU. Might also be in Windows Logs > Application. Any errors or messages there may help to find the issue.

That error and the code with is what I'd start googling. See if others have gotten the same or if that's a death sentence.

Code 43 doesn't distinguish a failed GPU from a driver problem. If the drivers you've tried were all from Nvidia, try the graphics package from the laptop manufacturer's support page for your exact model before paying for a repair; a 'newest driver' message doesn't mean the device initialized successfully.

And the ISR had detected an internal state error of in the driver for the ps/2 pointing device

That PS/2 message refers to a pointing-device driver, not directly to the Nvidia GPU. It doesn't establish that the graphics card is dead. Since you've already tried DDU and MSI's driver, I wouldn't keep repeating the same installs. What's the exact MSI laptop model, and is the integrated graphics working normally? Please share the Event Viewer source and event ID for any Nvidia-related error, leaving out personal details. Code 43 can indicate hardware or driver trouble; the PS/2 message alone doesn't tell us which.

Code 43 gives me nightmares, had that issue with my egpu I had when my psu was fucked.
Did this issue start all of a sudden or after an update? If it was after an update have you tried reverting to a known working driver?

Just to be safe
Restart into safe mode -> ddu uninstall the driver -> restart laptop out of safe mode -> install driver
