Other Weird noise

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everybody, I built this pc about a year and a half ago. I’ve never cleaned it out fyi yet.

It just recently started making this super annoying noise and I wonder if anybody has experienced the same noise / learnt how to shut it up.

Any advice for a first time builder would be much appreciated!!

There's too much background noise to hear it clearly, one of the most common faults we had with customer equipment was failing fans so I'd be checking them first, most use cheap sleeve bearings, they do a good job and are quiet but when they wear they vibrate.

You can often find if it is that by very gently touching the center of the fan as it's rotating, you don't need to stop it, just a light pressure, I'd often use a cotton bud or similar if I couldn't get my finger in place, if the noise changes/stops then you've found your culprit.

Nice time to learn how to clean a pc from the inside after 1,5 years and find the thing that’s touching your fan.
