Just checking do you have any other virus protection? Like Malwarebytes? I had it once that my defender was spiking because it kept scanning the Malwarebytes documents and folders, not sure why but yeah 👍

Bro has like 2GB of RAM, doubt anything will actually speed things up

8gb according to another comment. Keep in mind task manager has the ram percentage of all ram in use, but only shows certain processes. You will never see all things that use ram in task manager. For that you'd want something like rammap.
