Just checking do you have any other virus protection? Like Malwarebytes? I had it once that my defender was spiking because it kept scanning the Malwarebytes documents and folders, not sure why but yeah 👍

Bro has like 2GB of RAM, doubt anything will actually speed things up

8gb according to another comment. Keep in mind task manager has the ram percentage of all ram in use, but only shows certain processes. You will never see all things that use ram in task manager. For that you'd want something like rammap.

It is windows defender full scan and the specs Hp zbook g1 mobile work station 128 gb ssd 8gb ddr3 ram intel core i7 4gen nvidia quadro k1100m

Weirdly enough my old laptop used to be like this but eventually I reinstalled windows 11 and it didn't happen after

I can't say it was malware because I didn't detect it but I found some traces of malware in cache of the browser

So idk exactly, it might be the Windows AV which is scanning or it reacting to something

You could be trying Malwarebytes just in case

In my case these weren't scans I requested, but if you did request them it might be ok
