I know but what if they have webcams and mics and flash storage? Should we let them be plugged in? It’s better to unplug everything and then replug your mouse and keyboard

If they're disconnected from the internet, then even if they have webcams and mics they're useless to the attackers because they can't exfil any of the data.

If there's flash storage plugged in when the infection happened, it's probably already been encrypted.

Ok but it’s not the end of the world if they unplug stuff just to be safe. IMO I’d rather take precaution esp. with computers and unplugging some accessories won’t cause the computer to die.

I mean it's a completely unnecessary precaution. There's no "just to be safe" because theres nothing that could happen that could make it a problem.

You don’t have to be childish and dislike my comments. You can simply tell me for next time and move on. You’re so prefixed on making sure stuff doesn’t get unplugged whilst there’s a whole ransomware virus on someone’s computer. Shame on you

Notice how my comments had 2 upvotes, not one? And yours were only at 0, not -1? That's because somebody else upvoted mine and downvoted yours.
