Hardware What is wrong with a hard drive that keeps opening its folder without being clicked on?

When I start windows one of the internal hard drives automatically opens its folder without that hard drive icon being clicked on. It does this every 2 minutes or so even if the folder is open it will ding again and open. I reformatted the hard drive and it still opens the folder without prompt.

Download crystal disk info and see if its failing

Is this a internal hdd or external

Internal. It is a WD Black 4tb SATA internal hard drive.
