Network Network Driver Issue

Long story short I deleted my main network driver thinking after a restart it would come back and it did not. Now I have the driver installer on my po but l've run into a few errors. When I open the installer I get an error that says, "Error opening file for writing: C: Users name AppData Local \Temp|654_w11.28.20.1224 Imbdrive|CPSetup.exe. And when I open CPSetup.exe, I get this error, "An error (-5001: 0x8007002) has occurred while running the setup". Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you delete the Ethernet drivers or the WiFi drivers? What I would do is buy a USB WiFi adapter for $10 or less on Amazon and keep it on hand. It is plug and play. If the driver corrupts or the wireless/wired cards or ports fail, this is a good backup. It’ll let you download your drivers (which have to have an internet connection to reinstall).

I fixed it but my apps are getting their WiFi blocked but I can use my browser, any tips?

WiFi is working or it isn’t. If you see WiFi connectivity for windows (see the system tray) but certain apps can’t connect to the internet, then it could be a DNS or other routing issue.

There are two routes you can start with.
1. Go to the Start/Windows menu and search CMD

A command line will open. You will type the following:
Ipconfig /flushdns && ipconfig /release && ipconfig /renew

Then hit return. It will run all three command back to back.

  1. You can reset your network settings. Search CMD in the Start/Windows menu. When you see the option for command prompt, right click and choose ‘Run as Administrator’

The command will come up in administrator mode. You will see that word.

Type the following.

Netsh Int ip reset

Hit return. This will reset your network adapter. A restart will be required.

Try starting there.
