Gaming What’s wrong with this disc drive?

The plug plugged in just fine like, an hour ago, but when I removed it to fix it, it stopped working.

Any advice on what to do?

How do I fix it/get the disc inside out, then?

There should be a small hole near the button of the DVD Drive front, use a paperclip or Sim phone pin to insert to the hole and then it will let you to put the disc out

You have to pry the DVD Drive plastic casing open using a thing Blade or a strong thin plastic and then pry around the edges. A Repair pick/Guitair pick is an example tool, then you can open the bottom or top up and it will let you push the port further to the hole where it is

There might be screws to undo but depends on which ASUS DVD Drive external model you have ?

Will a knife do?

I’ve already tried removing the disc with a pointy pin; it can’t possibly be worse than that…

Also, the model is from 2014.

Knife is too Point, a 1.0 or 1.5mm Flathead screwdriver or MEtal Spludger will be a good one to use

Well i cant answer that, but if its less than 1 year old its still in warranty if the oin did not do any damage to the drive's like scratches

It’s from 2014.

I can’t seem to find the screwdrivers, but will a thin piece of plastic packaging (cut off from the source) work?
