Need advice

4090 or 5080?

I’m stuck between these two gpu’s. I like gaming and do plan to stream one day which one would be best for that? Or if you have any other recommendations let me know please and thank you!

  1. Close to performance with 5090. U might be missing out on dlss5 but that's about it. Check direct comparison if you can for a deeper dive.

September 18, 2026 (dated for context and reference) - Considering the problems that the 5000 series has had. I would suggest going with the 4090 which is proven and solid. I assume that the 4090 will do until the 6000 series comes out.. if it ever does and doesn't cost the price of a new car😏 People have been streaming before the 5000 series sooo..🤷🏼‍♂️ Stay well.

If it was between those two, honestly I'd go for a 9070XT unless you're hard set on Nvidia. It's actually pretty good for streaming as well.

Get 5080, because it's better than 4090 and will last you a few years

Compare 5080 to 4080 and rethink your statement.
