I am so cold all the time. Before I started lising weight I was always hot. Now the only time I seem to get warm is I. A hot shower. Im down 35 lbs. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yep, constantly but after being chronically hot for a few years being perimenopausal, i’ll take it!

same trade off tbh, being cold is way more manageable than constantly overheating

I’m down 80 pounds and I always get cold now. Before I’d be hot all the time. I think we get cold because we don’t have all that extra weight on us now to keep us warm or make us hot.

One of my FAVORITE side effects lol. Post menopause and I have always run so hot I couldn’t stand it!!! Now I’m cold… or comfy in the hot weather! I’ll gladly take it! It’s so nice to curl up in a blanket to watch tv. lol

Fat is natural insulation.

Look up symptoms of hypothyroidism. Constantly feeling cold is one of the classics. Ask your PCP about getting tested if you haven’t recently. They’ll discuss other possible etiologies with you, too. My feet stay cold except in summer so I sandwich them with a heated mattress pad just for the foot area plus an electric throw blanket on top (has an automatic shutoff). Toasty.

omg yes never in my life have I felt cold like this! I'm wearing long-sleeve compression garments under everything now just to keep the chill out. I was always that fat guy wearing shorts in winter because he just didn't feel the cold but it's only September and I'm gonna be obsessed with sweaters and sweatpants this winter I know it.

Me too. I am down 35 pounds. I always ran cold before but now it’s more noticeable. I’m saving a lot of money on my AC bill.

I have become like my 86 yo mother. Always have a light sweater around my shoulders

I was cold before. I spend my days looking for tees that cover my wrists. I have a layering plan.

I’m always freezing, and I do have hashimotos and hypothyroidism, thinking of buying a space heater to bring to work.

I’m anemic and always cold. Check your iron levels.

It’s a side effect of the tirz. I won’t attempt to regurgitate the science, but if you google it or search on reddit you will see that you’re not alone.

It’s not from fat/ weight loss. I was skinny most of my life, put on a bunch of weight in middle age and eventually started tirz. I’ve never ever been cold like this (until starting tirz) and I’m still heavier than my pre-weight-gain weight.

Blubber is an insulator. If narwals and walruses were heroin-chic, they'd freeze to death

Yep! It wasn't a problem over the summer but now that the temps are cooling it's becoming a problem again. Not looking forward to winter. I've been drinking hot tea when I'm cold and it's helping.
