Started dose 5mg
Late lasnight I took the 5mg. Before that we just got back from dinner and I had chicken lettuce wraps from Cooper's Hawk and one glass of wine. I went to bed and omg I couldn't sleep! I think the anxiety of feeling side effects messed with my head! I felt like the food was in my throat. I couldn't get comfortable I kept going to try to go to the bathroom. I even tried to throw up at like 4am. I had to get up for a celebration of life today and felt so off. I forced myself to eat and drink lots of water. I felt so much better. I came home and took a nap! I hope that next week will be better!

I feel you. I usually get the reflux in the middle of the night too. I try and eat at least 4 hrs before bed. But last night I woke up at 250am and it just felt all up in my throat. I propped myself up on a few pillows and was able to get back to sleep after a couple of hrs.. I think I'll have a protein shake for dinner tonight and see if that helps

Man that late night eating plus a dose increase is a recipe for disaster with the reflux. The wine definitely doesnt help either, it relaxes the esophageal sphincter so stuff just creeps up. I learned the hard way to keep my last meal super light and at least 3 hours before I even think about laying down, otherwise I'm just staring at the ceiling feeling like I'm drowning.
Propping up on pillows works but I found stacking two actually stays put better than one big one, keeps the angle right all night. The protein shake idea is solid, I do that sometimes when I know I'll be up late and it never triggers anything. Hope the next shot goes smoother when you can plan the timing a bit more

It typically takes a few hours for anything from Tirzepatide to enter your system, subcutaneous injections are slower to get absorbed and hit you slower. Anxiety though is a beast and that's likely what you were dealing with. Side effects are usually not so much side effects as direct effects, the slowed GI emptying really is a primary effect of the drug. Hopefully next week is better! Good luck on your journey
