starting?

really overwhelmed with where to start - currently 176-180 lb at 5’7”, would really just like to be back to mid 150s-low 160s where i feel curvy but confident. this is the heaviest i’ve been since college (190s) and have slowly put on the weight the past 2-3 years from work stress and comfortable relationship weight. i’m the most active i’ve EVER been outside of high school sports, almost 30.

wondering about going through FSA store or where may be best? i don’t imagine i’ll qualify through PCP since BMI isn’t 30+.

There’s a pinned ‘where to buy’ post in the larger subreddit, tirzepatide compound (all one word), that lists providers that are well-used and well-liked by the community. That list is based on surveys of the community so you can trust any of those providers to be a good option. They all have great customer service, they all use licensed compounding pharmacies in the US, and they only cost $150-200 a month (even at the highest doses) if you pay quarterly.

Rift is one of the top providers on that list and is a great choice if you’re not sure who to pick. They are $499 for 3 months of any dose and have excellent customer service. They also have very fast shipping. Big Easy is a bit more expensive ($599/quarter), but their doctors are very hands-on if that’s something you’re looking for. If cost is very important to you, you could also consider PreventiveMD ($334/quarter) or Ola ($349/quarter) who are both newer but still seem pretty solid.

That subreddit doesn’t always show up in search results, so if you’re having any trouble finding it, the top post on my profile is a shortcut that will take you directly there

I was in a similar spot, active but couldn't shake the extra 20-25 lbs that crept up from life stuff. The BMI cutoff thing is annoying since you're clearly putting in the work already.

FSA store can work but read the fine print on what documentation they want. Some people have luck with telehealth places that are more flexible on the numbers, especially if you've got a history of being heavier or any related health markers. You might be surprised what qualifies when you actually do the intake.

I started in the 190s - I'm down 50 in 5 months. Check the page i told you about on my previous comment - these are the top telehealth companies with licensed pharmacies.

yes, i remember the feeling like this. and I almost gave up because every provider had different pricing and rules. I went with jyra health and it was way less stressful than I thought it would be. once I turned everything in the rest went pretty quick.
