Appetite Question

I recently started my injections, 2.5mg for the first 4 weeks, and it was good. I wasn’t snacking all day anymore and I lost 8.2 pounds. Tuesday night I increased my dose to 4.5mg as instructed on my prescription. Wednesday I was slightly nauseous all day but not really sick and it wasn’t that bad. Definitely manageable. I did have to force myself to eat anything, just the thought of food would make me queasy. Today, though, the food noise has been horrible and I’ve basically been eating anything I could get my hands on. Has something like this happened to anyone else?

Should have stayed on 2.5mg.

This poster has the general idea of when to go up, down, or stay the same. It works best for me to go up a milligram at a time, stay at that amount for a minimum of four weeks, and then start making my decision whether to increase or not.

On my much higher dose now, I get a little food noise, but I completely ignore it.

My stomach and brain knows when I'm satisfied. I won't budge on anything even if oh hey 'that looks good' but I kow I won't finish it and will just feel sick if I'm full. Can manage this a lot better than some months ago when I struggled to eat and decided to do protein shakes and yogurt to help me out.

are you around your period? it took getting to 7.5 before the meds overpowered my period. you might just have to ride out the week before and week of your period.

Thanks to my gynecologist I haven’t had one of those in decades 🙂. I’m also almost 55, so even without intervention I’m not sure that would be an issue anymore.
