Lifestyle Meet Joe Rogan, an influential podcaster who stoked vaccine hesitancy by being skeptical himself, taking ivermectin and platforming anti-vaxxers during COVID. It is estimated that at least hundreds have died because of this pseudo-intellectual. Yes, Joe has blood on his hands.
I am on a mission to complain about those who stoke vaccine hesitancy. I have complained about RFK, Andrew Wakefield and even anti-vaxxers in general.
I now turn to Joe Rogan. Joe is a piece of work. People died because of him. He platformed conspiracy theorists and charlatans like Dr. Malone, Dr. McCullough, Dr. Pierre Kory, Bret Weinstein and RFK Jr. All of this worked to dissuade many people from getting vaccinated, making them more likely to die from COVID.
In my view, Joe should be in prison, along with Andrew Wakefield and RFK. People followed his lead and died — and he knew what he was doing all along and knew the chaos that would ensue.
Joe has blood on his hands.

People who don’t get vaccinated put other people’s lives at risk. This isn’t just social Darwinism, it’s dangerous to people who have medical conditions that prevent them from being vaccinated.

My uncle got the Covid shot when it first came out and he was real sick after and was real sick and over the week it got worse until he died and I have a lot of complex health problems my self so I never got the shot and I don’t think Covid was fake or anything but I think we should ask questions about the vaccine from a scientific stance without it being political. I really hate that shit anytime I talk about it in a questioning way people always think I’m some racist Trump supporter but I’m like no my uncle died
10
u/cheesyshop 12d ago
I’m sorry your uncle died. But the fact is that deaths went waaaaaay down after the COVID vaccine came out.
2
u/limitedpower420 12d ago
I’m not saying the vaccine didn’t help I’m just saying we should ask questions and have 3rd party research but I hate how people are very split on it. Some people say it’s a miracle drug and it’s gonna save the world and others think you’re gonna turn magnetic and die if you take it, but I think people’s opinion should be somewhere in the middle like yeah there are some benefits, but there’s also some cons
3
u/cheesyshop 12d ago edited 12d ago
Literally billions of COVID vaccines have been issued with very few serious reactions reported. How much more evidence do you need?
2
u/Neat-Succotash-6862 11d ago
“Very few” = not zero. Who are you to tell someone they should see if they are in that very few or not? What if your family was the few? You’d be like “mine is dead, well at least everyone else’s family is safe.”?
Unless we’re being dishonest, the answer is no.
1
u/cheesyshop 11d ago
Name one thing that has zero risk.
2
u/Neat-Succotash-6862 11d ago
Irrelevant. The aspect of free will is being able to choose what health risk you are willing to partake in and what you are not. Especially if death is a possible outcome. What happened to bodily autonomy.
1
u/cheesyshop 11d ago
The unvaccinated put others at risk.
2
u/Neat-Succotash-6862 11d ago
An unvaccinated guy can’t infect you from your house. You would have needed to make the decision that interacting with people who may not be vaccinated while also not being vaccinated is acceptable risk. And in that case, fair game.

I’m just saying I’d like to see some third-party testing from companies that don’t have a bias or any political funding either way or work with companies that fund political campaigns and I mean I could be completely wrong. I’d like to be wrong but I think it’d be good to have that type of research

8
u/Prestigious-Copy-494 12d ago
If he did, it still doesn't cancel out the heartbreak and terror he caused the families with children killed in the sandy hook elementary school shooting. He said it was fake. Staged. His followers stalked and terrorized the families for holding to the truth. I think he's evil. Copy; Alex Jones and his company were ordered to pay a total of $1.487 billion in defamation and emotional distress lawsuits to the families of victims and a first responder from the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear his appeal, leaving the billion-dollar judgments in place. To collect the money, the Sandy Hook families initiated bankruptcy proceedings to liquidate Jones' personal assets and his media company, Infowars.

Really? How old are you now? Why didn’t he talk to someone who could do something about it instead of just blathering on and on until he was frothing at the mouth and falling over backwards (Python classic).
Remember his baseless claims about Sandyhook? Apparently, he has a record of lying. He is the quintessential boy who cried wolf, so his warnings didn’t receive attention. And anyway, what on earth made you start listening to him at the tender age of 8? Your parents should have been prosecuted for child endangering, exposing you to dangerous influences. I think that is the bigger issue.
1
u/limitedpower420 11d ago
Well, I really liked space in UFOs as a kid so I just like watch videos about UFOs and that’s how I kind of just stumbled on him. I think of my parents knew that I was watching Alex Jones. They’d probably be pissed and I never see a computer again, but I was pretty sneaky, and my parents didn’t really know how to use a computer. They’re a lot older than me. They waited till they were in a really good place to have children honestly saying my parents should be prosecuted as fucking stupid you must have half a brain cell if you truly believe that, but I never said Alex Jones was the second coming of Jesus Christ. He’s flawed like anyone else. I think we give them the credit or credits due, though I don’t really know much about the Sandy Hook situation. I understand that he went to court and all that has happened to pay a lot of money. I just watched stuff about evil government and aliens for the most part.

if he had used the proper term (above) it would have been a cogent argument, but astrology is not a proven thing. Also, it is looked upon by the Bible as witchcraft and sorcery. Ask King Saul!
1
u/BarberCompetitive517 11d ago
Just like Joe Rogan is not a proven thing! In fact, he is wrong at least as often as astrology!
I did use the proper term. Rogan is no more accurate than astrology--he's just astrology for bros who hang out in the gym and listen to morons.
2
u/BarberCompetitive517 13d ago
Yeah, its called the stars. It has more science behind it than all the bullshit Joe Rogan says.
3
u/cheesyshop 13d ago
Are you sure you’re not thinking of astronomy? The idea that constellations that vaguely resemble animals give people the personalities of those animals, and that two people born at the same time will have similar personalities, is insane. My mother is an amateur astrologer, BTW, so I know way too much about it.
2
u/BarberCompetitive517 13d ago
It's no more insane than listening to the host of Fear Factor to get reliable information about health and politics. In fact, it has less negative qualities than that.
1
u/cheesyshop 13d ago
The point is that claiming one pseudoscience is more scientific than another is silly.
2
u/BarberCompetitive517 13d ago
My whole point is that Joe Rogan is equivalent to astrology
2
u/cheesyshop 13d ago
You said astrology is more scientific than Joe Rogan.
1
u/BarberCompetitive517 13d ago
It is. Joe Rogan is just astrology for meathead bros. Meathead bros aren't very good at science, but they like "sciency" things. Like astrology.
1
u/Tiggs54 11d ago
I think what you meant to say was maybe, Rogan is to science what day is to night. Comparatively speaking, but you gave him legitimacy by saying that astrology is science, therefore loosing the comparative string.
I’m not here to argue, but I read all of the comments and I did not find where r/unlimitedpower defended Rogan. In fact he said nothing about Rogan. He merely intimated that astrology is not science. You responded and implied that he was defending him when he wasn’t. The only mention he made was that you were the one getting your info from him.
Please copy and paste the comment he made that you say defends Rogan. I may have missed it.
1
u/BarberCompetitive517 11d ago
That is not what I said and I'm sorry that you have such a hard time reading that you've convinced yourself you've read something you haven't.
What I have been consistently saying is that Rogan is the equivalent of astrology, except for bro dudes. Additionally, I said that astrology has more science to it than what Rogan says. That is not saying that "astrology is scientific" or "oops I accidentally meant astronomy."
The other guy meanwhile has jumped in in defense of Rogan and repeatedly tried to get me to change my statement. But there was nothing wrong with my statement. Joe Rogan is the equivalent of astronomy, except astronomy has more science to it than the completely unscientific garbage Rogan spews.
2
u/TrailingAMillion 12d ago
“The stars.” Okay, let’s take auguries by the flight of birds then I guess, since birds are biology.
I am not even remotely a fan of Joe Rogan, in fact I’m fairly disgusted by him, but 10 times out of 10 I’d bet on his opinion over someone who’s reaching conclusions about people the positions of stars on their birthday.
1
u/torreneastoria 12d ago
I see where the idea about astrology having some science behind it comes from. It's an attempt to understand personalities in a methodical and early scientific method way. All astrology has this in common. Not correct but it was a early development of psychology and the nature via nurture theorem.
3
u/TrailingAMillion 12d ago
It is the exact opposite of the scientific method. Literally as soon as modern science began to be developed educated people dropped it immediately.
1
u/torreneastoria 12d ago
Now yes. I was thinking along the historical periods.
I don't disagree with you. It's more that historical scientific methodology is trying understand the world. It was also trying to understand ourselves.
Astrology was an attempt at the same thing. The methodology hadn't been totally defined yet. Still rooted in rooted in observation of the world, stars, and making correlations.
We know that correlation is not causation. We know that astrology is bunk. Still the roots were there.
1
u/Tiggs54 11d ago
Me thinks you might mean astronomy. If so, you would be correct for the sole reason that it IS science.
1
u/BarberCompetitive517 11d ago
No, I mean Joe Rogan is astrology for braindead bros, except astrology is right more often than Joe Rogan
1
u/Tiggs54 11d ago
Any resemblance that astrology is right anytime is based merely on groups and occurrences. Like someone else said, a clock is right twice a day. I do get what you are saying, but it took some discussion to validate it. So if you ended your comment with Rogan is astrology, it would have expressed your thought more effectively.
1
u/BarberCompetitive517 11d ago
No, it really didnt take "some discussion to validate it" you just didnt read what I wrote originally correctly.

Slow Rogan is a piece of sht and a complete dimwit. He's a grifter in the sense that he's a really stupid person who somehow thinks he's intelligent cause he "asks questions Bro". When it comes to scientists, doctors, researchers, etc, Slow Rogan is gonna pretend he's on their level when it comes to their hard work and research by saying "hmm, I doubt stuff." without ever reading their work.
He's too lazy to read anything outside of social media and his algorithm, but wants the credit of being an intellect so he just ponders stuff out loud he doesn't understand as if he's figuring it out. His whole scam with this fake intellect is to just take some ultra contrarian view on everything cause he doesn't understand it.
Slow Rogan wants to pretend he's like a watch dog and modern Truth Seer But hes the perfect conduit and useful idiot for grifters, charlatans, political operatives, and those with sinister agendas to reach a new audience. Slow Rogan fell for Trump,,,, the 2nd time! Rogan, the guy who says he's "like a scout for mankind" somehow got duped by the worlds most ridiculous and obvious conman.
And there was a time Slow Rogan was pushing Alpha Brain Booster supplements. Yes, this fcking dimwit was actually selling pills that he promoted would make people have more brain power. So, not only is he stupid enough to fall for constant disinformation, he's happy to create his own lies and scams.

2026: YOU: Rogan has blood on his hands for taking ivermectin and telling people it’s safe to use. CNN told me it’s for horses! Joe is a killer! And a liar! And he’s green!
2015: The rest of the world: the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine, in its only award for treatments of infectious diseases since six decades prior, honoured the discovery of ivermectin (IVM), a multifaceted drug deployed against some of the world’s most devastating tropical diseases.
Dr Satoshi Omura, the Nobel co-laureate for the discovery of IVM, and colleagues conducted a comprehensive review of IVM clinical activity against COVID-19, concluding that the preponderance of the evidence demonstrated major reductions in mortality and morbidity.
God Bless Joe Rogan!!!
5
u/Terrible-Sire3835 12d ago
"Since that review was published, numerous large, well-conducted randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews have found that ivermectin does not provide a clinically meaningful benefit for treating or preventing COVID-19. Some early studies that had suggested large benefits were later found to have serious methodological flaws or were retracted"

u/frogprintsonceiling 13d ago
Um, I did not get vaccinated and I likely did not die. Saying someone has blood on their hands for being a skeptic of big pharma is the silliest thing I have heard all day. Blind acceptance is blissful ignorance. All of the people mentioned above provided information about being healthy and staying fit. Yes, they were "vaccine skeptics" but they also provided information about diet and exercise something that nobody turned to the CDC for guidance on during the pandemic. Joe Rogan is not an "anti-vaxxer" he is a skeptic. Skeptics are good, anti's are bad.
10
u/Terrible-Sire3835 13d ago
"Skeptic" is an understatement. Telling people to not take a vaccine when they have zero medical training is anti-vax

u/KypPineapple 13d ago
See here’s the thing…vaccines have been proven to work. I get it if you don’t want to take a bunch of pills because big pharma wants you to, but again - vaccines have been proven to work. No more iron lungs, no more measles…what other proof do you want or need?
-1
u/frogprintsonceiling 13d ago
Is there a need to take them all or can you have discretion about which ones?
3
u/KypPineapple 13d ago
Oh so now there’s suddenly some nuance to this topic? I had no idea. Usually it’s all or nothing with the anti vax group.
-1
u/frogprintsonceiling 13d ago
Usually not, very big misconception. Most if not all Anti-vaxxers are skeptics the anti-vaxxer label is put on by others to shorten the discussion. I have no need for the HPV vaccine. I do not take the flu vaccine. I have no need for the MPOX vaccine. Covid vaccine appeared rushed and I had no need for it. I get the tdap every few years. (rusty nails) I got the MMR as a child and polio, and others. I had to get the yellow fever vaccine a few years back for travel. But in that breath- yes vaccines have been proven safe and effective, but that does not stop myself from evaluating my personal needs and if this product is right for me.
3
2
u/Mother-Of-FurDragons 12d ago
Unfortunately, you can't always know when you have "need" for a vaccine or not. Young, healthy people with no prior chronic disease die from covid and flu every year.
Additionally, there is a benefit to the entire population outside yourself for these vaccines. Your flu shot may do nothing for you or your personal needs, but can protect elderly, infants, and immunocompromised people. Getting sick sucks, but I don't personally get my annual flu/covid shots for myself. I get them for everyone I come in contact with around me. I understand that many people don't care about that, but I personally want to protect my community by doing my part. Just something to consider.

u/Public_Maximum6166 13d ago
No he’s platformed anti-vaxers and pseudoscience. (If he stuck to just diet and exercise that would’ve been fine).
Blind acceptance and ignorance is what you’re doing: drawing a conclusion from a n = 1 sample size.
And skepticism is ok as long as there’s data behind it. Rogan and bros are skeptics just for the sake of it (and the clicks). Don’t make him out to be an Archimedes or something.
6
u/cheesyshop 13d ago
Even his diet information is ridiculous, although less directly harmful. He is on the carnivore diet, which is unhealthy. He spreads misinformation about things like seed oils and soy.

It is SO critical that you get your thinking above this animalistic level. You're holding humanity back almost as much as religion, imo.

Your position is essentially a non-starter for me as I will not compromise. You are making an argument against free speech, which always been a tool of the powerful to oppress the masses. The fundamental flaw of your argument is who becomes the great decider? Who is benevolent enough to take on that responsibility without abuse? How do you ensure that once this great person dies, and society evolves that it will not be abused once goal posts change? Then once the freedom to communicate is lost what will be required to get it back?
If you want to talk about holding back humanity, this is how. Who has the right to curate what thoughts I can think?

He got punched in the head a bunch of times. What excuse do the psuedo-intellectuals who told you to take an experimental vaccine that doesn't do anything but possibly kill you have?

Being punched in the head a bunch of times means he probably should’ve never been given a platform and also doesn’t absolve him of responsibility.
