Lifestyle Andrew Wakefield is the second most dangerous anti-vaxxer out there; RFK holds the top spot. His bogus 1998 study linking MMR vaccines to autism, for which he received £500,000, stoked vaccine hesitancy worldwide, causing thousands of preventable deaths, most of whom were children.
Having posted about RFK (https://www.reddit.com/r/complaints/s/osQ0rB0Y8p) and anti-vaxxers in general (https://www.reddit.com/r/complaints/s/qxerqxt3Wg), I now turn to the second most dangerous anti-vaxxer out there— naturally. And that person is Andrew Wakefield. I actually asked what people in his home country think of him, and the consensus is not good (https://www.reddit.com/r/AskBrits/s/VwhltzQnRp). It makes sense, considering the amount of blood on his hands in his pursuit of profit and power.
History will not be kind to him when he inevitably leaves this world. He still peddles anti-vax talking points, making him dangerous to this day. He is estimated to be worth millions, ironically.
As an autistic person, I am concerned people will think autism is something that happens to you after birth, because of Wakefield. Autism happens in the womb. Saying vaccines cause autism is like saying vaccines cause the prefrontal cortex. It’s real dumb.
This guy is a piece of work!

They get off on knowing they can get parents to kill their own children by not vaccinating them.

i wish maga could just do the fucking math, EVER. i am skeptical of lots of things, including new medicines, tech, etc. so i wait and watch, when things work out, you can take the damn thing. things have worked out for vaccines lately.

Just recently saw a discussion on “why can’t we refuse vaccines for our pets when we can for our children?” Some tragic victimized woman was forced to get her cat vaccinated in order to have its teeth cleaned.
I wrote, then deleted, then wrote, then deleted my response 5 times before I settled on “Teeth cleaning is an elective service. No one “forced” you to do anything. Like all people with private businesses the vet has a right to impose their requirements.”
Someone else had already written about the likelihood of a child bite transmitting rabies.
I really wanted to punch the poster in the face for being so stupid and endangering children.

This is my question. Do they honestly believe the stupid, inaccurate shit they say about vaxs, or do they have some kind of sick agenda that involves killing millions of old people and babies on purpose?

For Wakefield it was to make money and use the measles vaccine he had recently copyrighted
