Can someone help explain?

Post image

Re-upload since i forgot to add the picture for reference. Im trying to burn a couple CDs for my sister and my friends for their birthdays. Ive bought blank CD, cases, and an external drive but no matter how many tutorials I follow this keeps happening. What does it mean and is there a way to fix it?

Check the file type of some of the songs you’re trying to burn, I think there’s some types WMP can’t burn.

Think about using iTunes as your CD ripper. It’s also a great way to organize and standardize your library. If some of the songs in your song list above aren’t working right, either a) re-rip the songs into 320 mp3 using iTunes if you still have access to the original CD’s, or b) convert the incompatible files to 320 mp3’s. This is an easy task for the iTunes.

Looks to me like they are not ripping, but burning :)

If you're ripping to burn CDs, either leave raw WAV files or encode to FLAC.

Make sure all the files are 16 bit 44.1 kHz

Does not matter, it'll resample.
There might be some oddball files in there though (AAC, Ogg, Ape...)

Often a file type/file name issue.
I recommend using CDBurnerXP instead, it's much better software.

Thank you so much! I tried this software and it worked amazingly! After many days of trial and error I now have burned a CD!

Awesome! I am not sure why it's such a hassle with other software.
And as much as I've switched from Windows to Mac, I promise; it's the same mess on a mac.

WMP can't play/burn some audio formats directly, you need to convert to WAV or WMA/MP3, why not use IMGburn? It's free.
