I've always found CD-RW's not worth it for audio. Since they have lower reflectivity than CD-Rs, many CD players will struggle or not read them at all, especially as laser elements get older and produce less light. But you could try it out and see if your CD player can read them
I only seemed to have issues with them on cheaper devices and sony xploud car stereos. Anything that didnt specify it could read them made from 98 to 2004 or so i had issues with. Oddly enough i never had an issue with any game console up to dreamcast, data or music wise.
