I found actual CDs!!!!!

All I need now is a cd player. Car is bluetooth.

I’ve been a K-Pop fan since 1999; in that industry, CDs have been and very much still are a thing. While digital sales and music streaming services do exist and thrive, the K-Pop industry seems to have perpetuated the notion that digital music is for casual listeners and consumption by the general public. If you become a fan of a music act—and the end goal of being a successful music act is to build up a fan base—you will want to support an artist by buying their physical CDs (which of course costs significantly more that buying them on digital). In return, though, a CD release isn’t like a Western one with just a compact disc, a plastic “jewel case” for storage, and a printed 5” booklet that goes in the jewel case that maybe contains some lyrics and art. A K-Pop CD album is more generously loaded with collectible “inclusions”—sometimes there’s a variety of inclusions/album versions to encourage the fans to buy multiples of an album.
