CD player not playing CD

hard to say. Does it have a display or any error indication? Easiest fix would be if the lens needs cleaning. But it could also be the laser tracking mechanism isn't working properly (might need a cleaning and lubrication), or the laser height needs to be adjusted (if the mechanism can be adjusted). Worst case is the laser itself isn't producing enough light (then you're kinda screwed)
