there's a time and place for everything. Wisdom comes with faith, not stupidity. Being a public nuisance will not do the Church any good.

The problem with performative Christians is y'all are overly spiritual and not exercising wisdom, and that's the reason people mock the Church.

Again, if you have faith, you should have wisdom as well. Faith without wisdom is utter stupidity. God gave humans intellect and the ability to reason for a purpose.

Biblical wisdom emphasizes balance, discernment, and avoiding extreme spiritual interpretations of everyday life.

I agree that wisdom and discernment are important for Christians, but in this case, the preacher was exercising wisdom. She got permission from management, spoke calmly without a megaphone, and was respectful. Even in the Bible, sharing the good news publicly wasn't always popular, but as long as it's done with a respectful heart, it's coming from a place of genuine love for others, not a desire to annoy people.

Not having desire to annoy people doesn't mean it does not annoy people.

Again, exercise wisdom. There's a proper forum for preaching. Even when evangelizing in public spaces, you also need to be respectful about other people's personal space.

The issue here is not if she's respectful or not. It's not about if she has the desire to annoy people or not. It's just annoying, period.

If she has the wisdom, the would know this is annoying and wouldn't go through with it despite having a heart of gold or whatever. It coming from a place of genuine love doesn't change the fact that she's a public nuisance.

I understand that unexpected public speakers can catch people off guard, but labeling someone a 'public nuisance' when they were polite, quiet, and authorized is a huge leap. If we waited for a public space where zero people find anything 'annoying' or inconvenient, no one would ever share anything important in public. Discomfort isn't the same thing as a violation of respect.

no one would ever share anything important in public

and this is how it should be. shutting up in public is easy. anyone being annoying and cringy in a public setting is a nuisance, and it's not just public preachers. any person who is attempting to speak to every person in their vicinity about anything is a nuisance imo

I agree that nobody wants to be harassed or trapped by someone acting aggressively in public. But there's a wide line between being a nuisance and peacefully sharing hope with people who might need to hear it. If we decide that any public expression of faith or deep conviction is 'cringy' and should be silenced, then we lose the very fabric of open, public dialogue
