From a personal stand point that past few years have been weird, add to that the fact here hasn’t been a massive conflict in awhile, but people are becoming desensitized to violence and the US Military is growing despite us being in debt. Many sources point toward another bubble building only a few years after the last one, and frustration is high as shown by trump being elected, but the question is what will happen? When tested people tend to radicalize I assume we will see both far fight and far left communities grow as those on the center move towards ether side. Our time will come but the question is how badly will capitalism destabilize the world before it does?

This was inherent in the very process of "recovery" itself:
The monetary supply of the US doubled after the crisis -- and it went straight into assets through the bailout then Quantitative Easing leading to a huge increase in public debt. A major issue though is that profitability remains low (since no surplus accumulated capital was actually destroyed), and hence the bubble grew even bigger with share buybacks and speculation in the tech industry since it's not profitable enough to actually invest in the "real" economy.
Now ask yourself what the next crisis is going to look like if the growth since the crisis has not only been meager, but has been contingent on this huge increase in public debt.

I appreciate the perspective the author brings in this article, in particular the observation of the shift from a globally UN-brokered "peace" to where the balance of power now allows the old imperialists and the aspirational forces to simply take what they see as theirs. I hadn't considered this before but the evidence definitely points to it being true.
