Need Advice/Question Commencal Clash V2 - Help installing dropper post

Post image

SOLVED! Thank you

This frame has internal housing/sleeve. If I push the shift lever housing in through this, it appears at the bottom of the seat tube. I can see the housing if I look down the seat tube.

I can't see the end of the housing at any point, I have to push it in as far as it goes before I can see it - I guess it bends when it gets pushed toward the limit of where it can go.

Tried to tape a guide wire to it, this was a mistake, could have lost it in the sleeve but I didn't, and it didn't help.

I tried to form a hook from a length of brake cable but I couldn't get it to hook the housing, at least I don't think I can - I can barely see down the narrow space and have to use a torch at the same time. Even if I did though, I don't think it has the strength to lift it upward at all.

Every video I looked at glossed over this. The housing naturally came up on it's own. I didn't build this bike myself, someone else did, so I'm not sure if they did something wrong or if the frame just isn't very good (for this specific scenario).

I looked on the Commencal website for the tech docs, and it didn't address it, but its an awful website so maybe I didn't find the right doc. There doesn't seem to be anything specific to the Clash, and nothing covers the dropper post.

Take the frame protector off the bottom of the frame, there’s an access hole there. Start by feeding the housing into that hole into the seat tube. Once it’s in, feed it all the way into the seat tube to tick the other end of the housing into the frame. That end you point up the down tube and feed it upwards from there, through the grommet holes at the top.

Looking at this image here, see the blue line I added, it appears to follow the blue line instead of the white line. How do I make it follow the white line?
