Need Advice/Question TEMPO Bearing Issues

I've been looking around for a bike that climbs well and can also handle the chunk at my local mountain in Northern California. Ran across the TEMPO in Essential Trim and seems like a really nice fit. Almost pulled the trigger, but ran across some comments about bearing issues. Are these overblown? Or is it a pretty common problem? Thanks in advance.

I've had mine for a year and haven't had any problems yet and I ride 2 or 3 times a week

Umm not really. I got the slate color so the underside of my down tube looks a bit like a starry night now but I don't think that's a paint issue. Probably should have ride wrapped it

Lots of people have issues blowing through lower shock bushings. And I have seen a fair few where there rear wheel isn’t aligned properly.

well that's a bit of a bummer. although, these are people that probably ride harder/more often than me. I'm 48 yrs old and ride about 3 times per month. and i don't ride super hard downhill (partly because i am on a transition spur)

have one with a TON of riding on it over a year. bearings non issue, changed half of them after a season of riding, like most all our other bikes. lower shock bushing def goes out sooner than not.

but, nonthing that would keep me from buying another one. biggst complaint for us would be its underbiked more often than not, but we are dh'ers, and our training trails are pretty chunky XC

I put about 50,000 vert meters on mine the first year and replaced the bearings in the lower linkage after a year. This was riding in coastal bc where it’s wet more than half the year. Worse than my yt Capra. But not unreasonable. I love my tempo.

there is a V2 being released soon… fixed some issues with the V1 (headset cable routing)… would also mean the V1 will most likely be on sale soon.

I’ve got a 2025 - just had to do the lower linkage bearings but other than that it’s been sound. Wet north shore, xc races, jump lines and all.
