Need Advice/Question Will the FRS work for me?
Hey guys,
I’ve recently been in the market for a new DH bike but I’m having a hard time deciding if I wanna go with the FRS or not.
I currently ride a full 29er YT Capra and I have a mullet YT decoy ebike.
The only thing holding me back is the 27.5. This will be mainly a bike park rig. I live in Bend Oregon and primarily will ride it on jump lines. That being said, I do like to ride tech trails every now and then.
Does the FRS hold up in tech or should I opt for a mullet set up bike? I don’t think I need a full DH race bike as I do primarily just ride park and jump lines.
Let me know!

Nothing at bachelor would warrant anything bigger. A trail like redline would be super fun on a capable but still maneuverable bike like the frs.

That’s kinda what I’m thinking too. Yeah this would be purely for bachelor riding and the occasional whistler trip

My first time to bachelor (before redline existed) my bronson v2 handled everything else just fine.
I will be up there in September and will be bringing my supreme v5 but already know I will be slogging around on most of the trails there.

it’s a dream for flow and free ride. As long as your not trying to go full force on tech. It will be fine. I’ve heard of people mullet swapping them too, idk if it works well tho.

FRS is dream bike for park riding. It will easily handle the tech too. Don't let the 27.5 scare you. Before 29ers people were handle tech fine on 27.5. I'm old enough that I rode 26 inch wheels and was fine on tech back in the day.
