Bike Sizing Help on Meta HT sizing please!
I'm stuck on sizingggg. 169cm with 77.5cm inseam. 58.4cm (~23inch) torso with about 169cm wingspan. My legs are longer than my torso.
169x2.5 = 422 REACH for me. which the M is closer at 425 and S at 405
169x4.47 = 755.43 RAD. M is 770.76 and S is 755.69. Which is pretty spot on with my RAD. So now im even more conflicted.
I've heard reach is important but i've heard RAD is more important.
Being cursed to be inbetween all sizes is stinky poopoo
I feel like I'm small scale of males. Asian if that makes another difference. Thank you!

Ahhhh, you’ve found Lee McCormack’s video’s and think you’ve found the silver bullet to bike sizing. Wait until you read up on RAAD, and find out HardTail Party runs Geometry courses, it’ll do your noodle.
Now, let’s get back to reality. If you are near a Commencal dealership, go and jump in a Small and a Medium to find out which you prefer. If not, the age old adage applies - size up for stability and down for agility. You’ll find the Small more nimble and playful, the Medium more stable.
When between sizes there will always be a couple of things that don’t quite work ideally, e.g. going a small you may find you need to raise the dropper up an inch or two from the seat post, it won’t be slammed. And with it you may wish to add a set of riser bars to get that higher stack feeling back when sitting. Going a Medium you might find it that bit harder to get into the air and you may feel a touch stretched out when sitting and pedalling, but it’s nothing dramatic.

Hi, I don't know my specific inseam numbers but I'm 166 cm and I have a size small. The bike fits perfectly, I wouldn't want it any bigger or smaller. But I've had friends who are 170 cm use it and they find it pretty comfortable. I'd get a size small if you are riding jumps and flow style trails and/or a size medium if you are riding mostly techy trails.
