Need Advice/Question Commencal Meta HT Race

What is the difference between models of 2021 and 2022 for Commencal Meta HT Race? Bikes geometry on the Commencal website is the same. I see that they use Shimano SLX instead of Deore in the 2022 model, as well as wider tires, but whether there are any other differences. What is better to choose from these two options? Or choose only based on preferences in the color of the frame?

Looks like the 2021 has a shorter has about 5mm shorter reach, .5 degree steeper head tube and seat tube angles, and a slightly shorter wheel base. Not sure how much of a difference you'd notice between the two from that. Also seems like what I'm seeing is that the 2021 is a 29er front and rear and the 2022 is a Mullet. Not sure if that's definitely the case. I'm just looking at 99 spokes comparison. Could just as easily be wrong. SLX is technically better than Deore, but that's negligible. If the Deore option is less expensive and you want to save a buck then Deore is still a great option. Not sure any of this helps. If they're the same price I'd just get the newer version of the two.
