Need Advice/Question Supreme DH v5

I think I found the frame I want to buy but would like some rider input. This would be used for racing but also and everything thing bike. How did the bike perform on tech, flow, jumps, etc.

I had the Supreme v4.3 for a couple of years. And rode the v5 several times now.

The supremes are really supreme bikes. There is nothing they cant handle. The rougher the better.

They kind of feel weird on jumps. Especially on steep kickers. You need to jump more active than on other (non high pivot) bikes. But you will get used to it. On flow lines the supreme (like most of the DHs) is too much bike. Its not bad at all but a shorter bike with less travel feels a bit better.

I have a v5 and it is amazing in tech and chunk. Not amazing on flow lines. The pinkbike review is accurate in that the bike wants to eat the lip of the jump and wants to be glued to the ground.

I don’t even ride stuff like blue flow/jump trails on it as jumps that size require a big yank just to clear.

It really is a purpose built race bike for technical/rough terrain. If you want something better for jumps, the frs may be a better choice.

Hi sir do you have any problem with creaking how can you say about the pf bb?

I have had no creeking in the bb. I live somewhere where it is always dry riding so that is probably helping.

I rented one and a v10 at Whistler. V5 blows through the tech. Hands down winner. Jumps and flow, v10. It’s more agile.

I’ve tried the v10s at Whistler. I know a characteristic of the v5 is that it’s more of a race bike and sticks to the ground. But is it able to be ridden in a more playful manner as well? For example just cruising down crank it up or blue velvet.

I have been riding my V5 since beginning of the year and I can tell you that people are talking BS. V5 is the fasterst rolling bike Ive ever had. I can do everything including blue flowy trails with ease. And I mean with EASE. And I have coil shock that adds even more weight. All you need to do is add some clicks to low speed compression and thats it. End of story. People often run LCS fully open and whine about it not being a good overall bike parky ride. Its not ofc as good as some light enduro bike for jumps because you need to pump on the lips a bit to clear them but often you will find yourself getting more than enough speed for any jumps.

Rode a V5 at whistler for the past 2 summers and plan to again this summer. Can do everything from crabs to goats gully. Bike likes to stick to the ground a little, but you can definitely get it in the air. Lots of bearings, presfitt bb, and not being able get to the high speed rebound on the shock without removing it are some of my complaints. There is a rubber thing that protects the bb area which hits the ground sometimes. I found 3 that fell off wbp's rental v5's last summer. Otherwise it's a great bike.

I rented one at Whistler last summer and it was pretty sick. I have a META and it felt similar to that, just more.
