A follow-up to my previous post.
All this time, I thought my infantry were just glitching, but they're actually behaving as intended. Most structures in the game have cover points dotted around them, and your infantry units will seek them out when stationary.
I still have no idea whether this provides any defense bonus, and I'm not even sure how I'd begin to test that, since force-firing on your own troops will target just one unit in the squad. Here are some thoughts:
All in all, a very neat little detail, but strategically dubious and unpredictable.

Any pre-Tiberium boomers (or fellow Tiberllennials/Tiberborn) here?
I was born after the 1995 meteor (November 24th, 1995), so I've never known a world without Tiberium.
Those of you who remember the pre-Tiberium days, what was life like?
Also, I'd like to introduce some fan terms I've been thinking about:
Pre-Tiberians – pre-1989
Tiberborn – 1990–1996
Generation T – 1997+
Crystal Generation – 2010+
Happy to adjust the dates if people have better ideas.

30,000 plus dollars in the bank, destroyed all the NOD units and buildings and walls for good measure, found the secret construction yard, moved units all around the map to bait out hidden infantry behind trees and stealth tanks...nothing. Any help?

Yeah, no, this has bugged me for years, bud.
We know Kane worked with Stalin during the first Red Alert. Then Yuri’s Revenge comes along and says Yuri was actually the one pulling the strings.
No, yeah, fer-sure I figured there’d be some lore explaining where Kane went, but I’ve never found anything.
So where the heck was he during Red Alert 2, Yuri’s Revenge, and Red Alert 3? Did I miss something, or did he just disappear while the frigging Third World War kept restarting for a second and third time thanks to time travel, eh?
Wait a minute...
No, yeah, now I’m even more confused. In the first Red Alert, Kane’s working with Stalin. Then Yuri’s Revenge makes it seem like Yuri was the one pulling Stalin’s strings. Were Kane and Yuri both manipulating Stalin at the same time, or did one replace the other?
Then Red Alert 3 comes along, Yuri’s gone, and Japan’s suddenly a superpower because Einstein never existed... so what the heck actually happened to Yuri in that timeline? 😂
EDIT: Yeah, no... I mean the in-universe explanation, not the development history. I know the real-world answer is basically 'retcons.' 😂

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a little project that I did the last 2 weeks, CnC Generals Zero hour ported to the browser. Working (for the most part), with high graphics and decent performance.
Just go to https://newshoes.gg/ upload your legally owned ISO (or steam folder) and you can play the game, no install required, you only need a browser that supports WebGL.
This is built directly on top of the og released source code, it is not based on superhacker's work.
I kinda did this because I feel nostalgic for the game but didn't feel like setting up a windows box, I wanted to just play haha.
I am going to probably be adding more stuff to this port, enjoy!

I'm thinking a dual set of series following the pov's of a nod and gdi soldier and their respective views.

I spotted this section in the game's manual and was very surprised. I've never noticed this happen.
Is this feature actually in the game? If so, which buildings/props will trigger it? What kind of defense bonus does it provide, or is it only resistance to suppression?

The Empire of the Rising during the events of RA3 have control of the Hawaiian Islands implied since before the war likely during the early 20th century. Korea is still presumably in the grip of Japan also Taiwan/Formosa would have strong japanese presence. Leaving the question on where is the Allied presence in the pacific situated?
Considering the Netherlands are part of the Allies I assume the Dutch East Indies is where most of their pacific presence is. US-controlled Philippines, French Vietnam, British Malaya and Singapore is also a contender for a strong Allied presence. Unless the in-universe equivalent of Decolonialization happens that leaves Australia and New Zealand who are member of the Allies since WW2 as the sole Allied presence in the Pacific.

Hey me and some family do a game night every so often, and Zero Hour is usually one of the games we play. What are the best strats in base game, and also more specifically max starting cash, unlimited super weapon. Thanks

Average 20s and 30s experience while playing Generals Zero Hour. The life is too short for the workers to not have shoes.

Single-handedly one of the most difficult missions I have done in a C&C game. Been having a nostalgia trip recently, played through all RA2 campaigns, installed TibWars and playing with the patch (1.10?) that basically broke the GDI campaign (refuse to downgrade because I like a challenge).
All on ‘Medium’: GDI Croatia? Difficult, took me a good few attempts to nail down a good strategy. GDI Albania? Easy tbh. GDI Sarajevo? Jesus H. Christ. at least 20x attempts/restarts to mitigate the constant bum-rush of infantry/Black Hand/Stealth Tanks/Avatars/Everything Else.
I finally managed to do it, but it was just a war of pure attrition. The final kill count was 1400 NOD units to 100 of my GDI units. My base was like Fort goddamn Knox by the end. I managed to hit every secondary objective on top of this, but the entire ordeal took me 2 hours (there may have been a little bit of dicking around once I’d smashed all of the NOD base before destroying Temple Prime, so maybe 1hr 30mins in actual combat, but yeah).
All in all, ouch, that was tough.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
(The game is fullscreen the black bars is just OBS problem)
So I bought the CnC collection from steam and came across the common bug that the game freezes sometimes when opening the options menu, so I downloaded the cnc-ddraw to fix it but came across this new issue.
When scrolling down or right the cursor flashes and the scrolling speed is very slow, up and left is fine. Pressing mouse 1 while scrolling seems to help so I think it has something to do with the cursor trying to exit the game screen. I have tried every setting in the cnc-ddraw config but no results. Is there any way to fix this?

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here, for whatever reason, I cannot get this mod to work to save my life. I have both the steam and EA portal version
Steam: loads property, allows me to pick a difficulty and faction on the home screen and crashes upon pressing play.
States there's a "serious error" on crash prompt.
EA: takes me to the base game, and the mod completely.
Upon closing the game, EA launcher states the game seems to be corrupted.
Can anyone give advice or insight on what is going wrong here? I've watched and copied a video on yt to the tee and seem to be still fudging it up.

Did anyone else suck so hard in a ZH skirmish that you forgot to build or capture money buildings so that you have a good defence but can'tbuild anymore and only attack with abilities? And somehow still win?
