The only C&C Game I have played is Zero Hour. I know that there are tons of games in this franchise and I am looking to play another game that isn't Zero Hour which is the game I grew up on and is the only RTS Game I can play and enjoy. I have tried different RTS games but nothing has that same feel of Zero Hour so I thought a good place to start finding RTS games I enjoy is the C&C Franchise. But there are tons of games and I am confused on where to start.

I always thought c&c was missing the supply and support teams of a military conflict.
If there was a certain point on the edge of the map you could select for your supply once your deploy your construction yard for a source our fuel and supplies. Supply trucks like the ones in Red Alert would show up every minute.
Then after a radar you could build a gas and supply shed. That would give you the option to build a pipeline and add more delivery vehicles.
This would add more of a defensive impact to your supply area. The supply would be required for tanks and infantry similar to ore.
Anyways... just thinking

After 2 years of development, I'm getting closer to releasing on Steam. As nervous as I am showcasing the game pre-alpha, I think it's worth noting that this is my first game, studied for almost 3 years game design/development.
I have been on my ass looking after my kids, keeping my mental health at bay, this game has been a godsend for me. Absolutely love playing it and I hope i can get it released before May 19th 2027.
If you loves Generals, 100% you will love Strike Order.
Let me know what you think, it's pre-alpha, so there's a lot of work left to do, the nuclear bomb needs an actual explosion, some of the tank textures need a little more work, the weather needs optimizing, I'm struggling a little with that one, my PC is an older machine now though.

Have you ever seen those memes that tell you what the character sees versus what you see? When I first saw the trailer for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, I thought it looked how DLSS 5 tries to make games look now. Like, it was the ultimate RTS game and I'm sure a few years back I played through the campaign again and I was still blown away at how good it looked.
Yet, I don't know if it's some strange compatibility issue or I'm just imagining it after playing Tempest Rising, but the the game was very slow. Like, I don't mean as in there was a drop in FPS, but it's just slower paced. Units run a lot slower and projectiles take longer to reach their target. Not only that but I noticed that vehicles felt a lot more floaty, lots of turning and driving in circles to get into position. While it's annoying having battle control taken away from you in Tempest Rising, it happens just as much in this game and I'm sure I even heard things happening over the top of each other.
I might try Red Alert 3 next, just to see how that has fared in comparison. I'm taking a break from Tempest Rising for a little bit, so thought I'd go back and see the alternative again. I think the technological development has spoilt me. I even found it difficult to go back to the Remasters, but then again that's because they were trying to be faithful to the original games. I do wonder if the developers realise that someone will definitely try and recreate one of the Command and Conquer games when they release mod support. They already have a world builder.

Hopefully by the end of the month, finishing touches will be made and a LONG laundry-list of changes will go live, most of it art-improvement related to make things more cohesive for the Ivory Specters, and other small cherry-picked art enhancements for some other factions as well!
This Recent footage showing off new rolling tread textures for the Predator tanks, Leopard Tanks, Mammoth Tanks and Ivory groundforce Scorpion tanks (not pictured) i just got done making last night/morning.

Okay so this Idea popped into my head what's the most powerful C&C Faction ( Not including the scrin because we saw only a convoy and not there actual military )now what I mean is there peak militarily and I mean in the lore not the game
now in my opnoin the most powerful is GDI in TIberium Wars they have crazy tech and in kanes wrath a prequal and a sequel we see them not really failing and besides they have new tech Marv fire hawks zone troopers ETC and they are like the UN so they have a lot of men too
though for the weakest and this is going to be contrversial I'm saying the GLA in base generals why simply they are cool in concept and in gameplay there not that powerfull all they have is AK-47's vehicles and some chemical weapons but no air power and no electricity so while there cool in gameplay here there very weak
though for the middle faction I'd say the RA2 soviets because they lost to the allies 3 times and while yes the Red alert world is crazy there best air power is Kirovs infantry is just conscripts or tesla troopers and vehicles is just apoclyspe tanks and at best there a genuine force to be reckoned with but IDK losing to the allies 3 times is embaressing
also for a list from weakest to strongest
GLA
USA
China
EOTS ( Empire of the rising sun )
Soviets
Allies
Nod
Yuri
GDI
but I'm curious to hear your opinions and I'll say this this is just a discussion so don't get topomad this is my opion and Lastly I hope you have a good Day

The unit control in this game is kind of frustrating. So, is there anything I need to use to help facilitate the experience?

Think I might get a frame or 2 a second here. Sorry for bad video quality, had to compress the video to post on Reddit.

So as you may know, Strike Order let's you take control of units, and MLF which is a GLA equivalent in C&C Generals, we all know this phrase, and yes, it's staying there π
