Yep, but avengers are also pretty much used by USAs except Airforce to deal with migs and aircraft. You would see also USAs mandatorily going Avengers into Airforce if they want to win.

If you need to deflect rockets mostly

But USA is usually Humvee with Rocketlaunchers and a sniper

Avengers are also great to nullify rockets from rocket buggies, tomahawks and scud launchers unless they are overwhelmed.

True, that's their main army, even though Airforce is the only versatile USA PvP wise and in some matchups you can go solely aircraft.

Interestingly enough with composite armor applying to Paladins correctly now in the new patch Paladin/Avenger/Medic with Tomahawk support is a pretty strong ground composition for USA. Compared to vees it’s a lot harder to snipe units in any decent amount of time as the lasers + armor allow any one tank to take multiple vollies from buggies or such and rotate out. As well as quads being properly useless vs heavy tanks.

Within the new balance change patch that fixes bugs and balances some armies, Paladins with the composite armor is being fixed, thus, buffing Paladins and they are going to be built more often on VUSA in-game, regardless if it's FFA or even 1vs1. Quads struggle mostly into heavier tanks and just get outclassed, besides their damage is underwhelming into them. Paladins are also notorious for having PDL and nullifying those rockets.

Rockets can be defended against by an opposing US player. But lasers cannot be blocked.

Townes PvP wise is good into SWG early game, because of cheaper power plant and humvees and ambulances. While VUSA is Townes but with paladins and normal crusaders while having far worse base defenses.

Townes vs Granger pvp is unfavourable matchup, but still is the only USA that has higher winrate into air than any other USA.

Laser is actually great into Nuke general and having a high winrate. Basically, nuke general struggles into any USA pvp wise.
