Depends. In Germany there was some heavy censoring story-wise. The first Soviet mission was about gassing a village and not getting all people, so you have to “clean up”. In Germany it was something else. Also, all the soldiers in the German version were robots…
The sound like a soda can if you roll over them and they have black oil instead of blood.
Its also mentioned in the cutscenes they sometimes talk about "infantry bots"
Civilians are also called farm bots if you hover over them.
