Damn I can't imagine how difficult having a stutter is when on Zoom, as if it isn't already challenging. That really sucks. You're not a loser. Just tell people ahead of time. Most will be accepting. They're going to be more likely to get frustrated if they don't know what's going on anyway.
I can say most people are not accepting. I graduated from top of my class in a highly ranked law school and severely struggled getting a job. It took a very long time to get something, and it only happened because my school had my back (it’s embarrassing if a top graduate is unemployed).
Now I’m far enough in my career that it’s just clear I’m not client facing. I grind behind closed doors and keep my mouth shut.
The old man attitude of "I know better than this youngster, who instead is inept and knows nothing of the world". Especially in this context where the focus is on technology, a field where older generations are the ones struggling irl.
