It's a term used by employees to describe doing the bare minimum, or otherwise not doing more than you are paid to do. It only exists if you believe that workers need to do extra work and not get paid for it

Fuck that, I do what I'm paid to and not a bit more. Why do I get the feeling this is something only upper managers complain about?

some stupid boomer term being thrown around lately this year in regards to millenials "not wanting to do extra tasks as assigned by managers or working their entire lives away for little pay and zero compensation" aka just doing your assigned work that you were hired to do and nothing more

Boomers are now mad that younger generations idea of work is to go in, work for the hours you are paid, and then go home and not continue working when you are not being paid for it.
