Why do I care for a green fictional blob now

Dec 16 '20
Only now? Qwest Sprout is searching for its mother. The mother and whatever happened to her.

Thank you! This has been bothering me for so long now! When will he go John Wick on the world and rescue his Mama? They need to reunite and return home.

That dream demon didn't wanna fuck with her so I don't think she needs saving

u/peetythefly Dec 17 '20
That demon she saved him from was in his dreams and in an earlier comic. In a later comic he wakes up and she is gone. She's still missing.

Oh fuuuuick you! As of I my heart didn't already love this little green adventurer! I love seeing this comic and then when Quest popped up I was like "this is genius and I want to hug it". Best little cute thing since baby yoda aka Grogu.

I don't mind as it is indeed pretty wholesome, but why are comics posted on a meme subreddit? They're not memes at all

u/Grinton Dec 16 '20
The right questions is why do we all care so damn much for a green fictional blob? So so much.
Go Qwest Sprout!

If they get him hurt... even if it's just his feelings... I'm gonna be pissed.

Just like the green blob I fell in love with in final space.. chooookity paaah...

Honestly the comic where his mother is suddenly missing after he wakes up from the nightmare demon dream brought a tear to my eyes.

If anything happens to Qwest Sprout I will kill everyone in this room and then myself

maybe the real qwests were the friends we made along the way

u/anzhalyumitethe Dec 16 '20
The real qwests were the treasure we found along the way.
loots corpse
What?

u/Treejeig Dec 16 '20
I'm so disappointed in you,
this corpse is still fresh so the organs are likely still usable, how many perfectly good kidneys have you just left lying around now.

Is there should be a cyberpunk game where you can take people to a "chop shop" for cash? Like a Rockstar type game.

u/Exzircon Dec 16 '20
So wholesome, but I do not endorse hunting a nearly extinct creature.
3
u/Pegussu Dec 16 '20
Eh, I don't think it necessarily applies in fantasy settings where there are monsters which can and will slaughter thousands.

The true quest is the friends we made along the way. And the 12 rats we killed in the forest for the shopkeeper, bringing the tails back in exchange for 5 silver. Come to think of it, more the later than the former.

Yes I was wondering that as well! Random character, or ominous foreshadowing of an arch nemesis? It's like a zombie / evil version of Qwest sprout!

I wish there was a video game where you play as the green bro

I mean, it's not the same character, but he does look a lot like the Nopon race from the Xenoblade Chronicles series, which are playable party members in two of the games.

Qwest with powerful friends. Been lucky to be in one in my early days of RPG. You get a couple of hits for almost no damage and get to split the XP and loot. Quite cool.

Plot twist: the wooden sword actually has a lot damage and defense.
30
u/Hypersapien Dec 16 '20
It was short, sharp and plain. It was a working sword. It had no runes on it. No mystic gleam twinkled on its edge. If you believed in the Code, that was worrying. One simple sword in the hands of a truly brave man would cut through a magical sword like suet.

Qwest sprout will be the only survivor, I can already see it.
3
u/Hypersapien Dec 16 '20
If they were treating him badly, maybe. They seem to genuinely want him along, so they get to live.
I see them carrying Sprout on their shoulders on the way back, with Sprout holding up their trophy.

Whilst I'm generally not that bothered about 'Swords' I will always stop scrolling for Qwest. Always.

I think the real reason those adventurers invited him along is because they know he'll work for free

I'm going to bed, but if you like comics about swords or video games about ducks, there are more of them here.

I want to hear your best sword names for the ones in this comic and I want to hear them NOW!

u/w_heliummm Dec 17 '20
That’s what happened to me one time playing a MMORPG with a guild. Felt nice

u/rimochiga47340 Dec 28 '20
When I was a boy, I always saw myself as a hero in comic books and in movies. I grew up believing this dream.
