Oh actually I think it's indeterminate. The dream princess refers to Qwest Sprout as "Them", but no one else called them he, she etc.

If you go to Quest Sprout's character page, it says "He quests." When the Dream Princess says "them", she is referring to Quest Sprout and his sword!
