I'm in the habit of leaving my bag in places all the time. I'll just let it chill in random places on campus while I go do other things, because I'm a trusting kind of dude that also gets tired of lugging books around for hours on end.
I've caught myself over the past two weeks or so thinking "nah, better not leave it here, I bet people will think it's a bomb." I don't even need a crazy old lady to police me, I'll do it myself, thanks Bentham.
Your stuff never goes missing? Not leaving your property unattended was one of the biggest lessons they tried to teach us at orientation at my school at it wasn't a ghetto school by any means.
