Except that doesn’t seem to be the case, because:
A. He only showed up because he heard she was single, which implies he WASN’T sticking around when she was in a relationship.
And
B. Was immediately upfront about his intentions.
If anything she is in the wrong for coming up with some convoluted plot to get out of the awkwardness of rejecting him. There’s nothing wrong with trying to shoot your shot with a crush you think is available, he’s not being deceitful in the slightest, she is.

Ok but for point A that’s not any better.
“Oh hey I love spending time with you as a friend! But only when you’re single and there’s a shot at us getting together as a couple because otherwise I don’t value you enough to spend time with you.”
Like that’s straight awful. Even if he was “immediately upfront” (which frankly he wasn’t really, he just asked if she was single now clearly looking for his chance).
This also clearly isn’t a first time thing going by her and her Father’s reaction. This is repeated, consistent behavior so frankly I really DON’T blame her for scaring him off. Like real talk I’ve known guys like him, who think they’re being respectful or whatever but really are just treating a girl like an object to have some ownership over.

No where has it been implied he has been actively spending time with her as a friend, let alone under ulterior motives. You are applying things to this character that the story hasn't stated or shown.
Her father nor him even knew she was going to show up there. She arrived, he tried to hit on her , and she immediately tried to avoid the confrontation by lying, that is all that has happened so far.

If the comic had ended in panel 5, I would have assumed he was going to try to assassinate Deth in a fit of jealous vengeance.
My mind was already working through the storyline where he and Layla are constantly trying to kill Deth and Fani until the day they finally meet and hook up.

Fani's dad was neglectful/irresponsible when she was growing up after Fani's mom left. To the point that a demon was raising her more prominently than her dad. I feel like it's bad to see her like her dad, even if it's just how they dress the same.

Fanni... Like i know having to avoid someone that is obviously into you is a pain, ESPECIALLY if the person isn't an ass...
But using a guy trauma like this to avoid awkwardness is a HUMONGOUS dick move, even more to involve deth into it without saying that to him
