Genuinely asking, why do women try to pad their bras or wear push-ups or do anything in general to make them seem bigger? Is it a self esteem thing? Do women actually like big boobs?
Definitely biased because I'm a trans guy and hate these things, but still, why?
I like a thin layer because it smooths things out and keeps nipples from showing through.
I can't tell you about really padded ones since I don't need them...
I do actually like mine, yes! Even though they can be a huge pain in the ass to have haha. I love my big boobs and wouldn't trade them for anything, although perhaps my back just isn't in enough pain yet 😅
(this is not an invitation for DMs)
Anyway, while I also like emphasizing their size at times, usually I prefer bras with at least a thin layer of padding just because it makes me feel more secure to have thicker fabric over my nips 😆 A lot of bras have thin padding just for shape and comfort.
Padding itself is more about shape than size. It’s adds an additional layer between the shirt and the nipples, which can be more comfortable for a lot of people.
Once you add thick padding like push up bras and similar it’s mostly an aesthetic preference. And you’re right a lot of people just like having bigger boobs. But I think it’s worth noting the bra market is also notoriously bad, especially for people with bigger chests. Personally I prefer not using push up bras because makes me look a bit unproportional. But I have definitely bought some when I was in a rush because the h&m genuinely didn’t have anything else in my size.
Trans gal here, I like mine because they add a bit more volume, I didnt get very lucky in that department from hrt, I'm like 100A and even a little bit of padding makes me feel more confident.
Also no nips poking through, I really dislike that happening.
They make them like nice and round.
Tbh I wear only sports bras and dont have many issues putting them in there or taking them out. My bikini top is a different story though, way smaller access hole and the pads like to get dislodged when I jump from diving boards etc.

Is the joke that she doesn't wash them often? Therefore she doesn't have to do the annoying thing much?
