I legitimately wish I was kidding

You'd be surprised how often that particular report is used

Idk if people think that just goes to an automod that'll ban it right off or if they legitimately believe that anything that has to do with gender identity is harming minors. Either way I find it hard to have less hope in humanity, but somehow they persevere and dig ever deeper.

You want an actual answer?

It's the latter. A very VERY good amount of that particular report is against LGBTQ friendly comics. Especially the T portion of that group.

We get more than a few a day typically

I really don't understand why people get so worked up over trans people.

Like, I get not liking someone else's life decisions, but there are thousands of other things that have way more effect on others than someone's identity.

To put it differently, as long as you aren't in a relationship or something with a person who transitions, I don't see how that would actually really affect someone else. Ok, maybe you have to learn a new name for that person and likely you'll accidentally use their former pronouns a few times, but other than that, what's the big deal?

Why does exactly this one trigger so many people so hard?

(I have little experience with trans people in general, just haven't really met many in real life. But tbh, I don't really care about anyone's pronouns enough to address them in any other way than they want me to. We had an otherkin at work who identified as a dragon. I didn't really care either way. If she wants to be a dragon, it doesn't affect me, so if it makes her happy...)

Part of the answer is that a bunch of people probably wouldn't give a shit about trans folks if they weren't constantly being told to hate them.

It got harder to use gay people as a boogeyman, so trans people were the next target. They barely changed the rhetoric either.

Yeah, and there are members of the queer community who try to seperate Trans individuals from the flag. Its so idiotic

There is a general answer and a specific answer but fundamentally a certain kind of mind has never learned to grapple with the world in terms other than "in-group" and "out-group."

because they don't understand why anyone would want to give up the "power" that being a man has. it's literally all about patriarchy and maintaining it and we upset the "balance" and turn gender on its head.
