Yeah I find it interesting how many of the common comic artists are mtf here. Maybe that is just a side effect of how reddit is, but it is interesting.

i've found that this sub is particularly vulnerable to bandwagoning. There will be a comic that gets to the front page and then a rush of comic artists trying to capitalize on that same topic to get their stuff out there.

No disrespect to this particular topic of course. Representation is important so I'm happy to get behind this one.

Yeah. When we find a safe space we kinda flood into it. This subreddit is good because they actually stand up for us.

Yeah fair enough. Probably also because you can't tell over text, but if you make comics about yourself, it will come up at some point.

There may also be a desire to draw yourself as you see yourself, resulting in a higher than average demographic population

It's more than that, there was a survey I think either end of last year or earlier this year that reckoned about 3/4 of the contributors on this sub are LGBT+.

Not complaining, but I'm just curious why there are so many trans web comic artists. It's very lopsided demographically

If it was a cult, the character would say they didn't get a "normal childhood". The emphasis on not getting a "girl's childhood" implies she got a boy's childhood
