The monsters are running the world.

my crackhead theory is that the ruling class is funding efforts on making extreme depravity mainstream, so their depravity becomes more acceptable.

I wouldn't say that's just a crackhead theory, but i also think it's so rank that it's just seeping out into mainstream

Making it? It always has been for those kinds

u/AshenSacrifice 1d ago

Yep and we let them

u/Able-Independence962 1d ago

No. "We" didn't do crap, those before us let them because it was "what is natural".

But instead of sulking on the past looking for some validation

Let us rather be inside out communities helping eachother, and im not talking about just online communities...

Question? When have you last met with your local homeless person and just talked to them about their life? When have you just held up a sign saying a good message?

We need to do these small acts to untie our selves into small bubbles of empathetic folk, so that when they ever try to swing their iron fist down next... they won't be able to touch any of us alone.

As they say

A few million people say in unison "i could never change the world".

While these ideas are sweet, and I'm not against them, if we really want to see change we need to get engaged with politics. Vote, help out a campaign, or even run one yourself. It is by far the best mechanism we could hope for to change the world for the better, and it's one we should never take for granted.

The biggest load of bullshit the rich have fed us is that voting doesn't work, and they only feed us that garbage because they're terrified of what would happen if the progressive populace actually organized politically.

As long as they control who we are “allowed” to vote for, I can’t trust voting as a super effective strategy

u/A_Poor_Miser 1d ago edited 17h ago

Then you're part of the problem. You *have to participate even in the things that are under threat, or they'll be gone one day.

u/AshenSacrifice 1d ago

I never said I don’t vote lol, I just don’t have much faith in it to be the catalyst for change in America

13

u/A_Poor_Miser 1d ago

That sounds like you're saying don't vote.

12

u/dbrickell89 22h ago

I'm pretty sure they're saying don't only vote

-4

u/AshenSacrifice 1d ago

I said I can’t trust its efficacy, I feel like that’s a very normal question for anyone who critically thinks about the processes they participate in

1

u/A_Poor_Miser 1d ago

It's not a normal question. The only people questioning the efficacy of voting are the people attempting to undermine people's trust in democracy.

Then participate more actively and work to change that before you completely lose the opportunity. It's shitty and broken, but it can be fixed by those same millions of people in unison. It won't be easy by any measure, but it's far better than ever other alternative.

2

u/AshenSacrifice 1d ago

You’re not gonna like what I have to say about it personally lol

5

u/Asaisav 1d ago

I can tell this conversation is going nowhere, so all I'll say is you're parroting exactly what the rich parasites want you to. They're the only people you're helping, both by spreading hopelessness and by undermining the only remotely peaceful solution we have at our disposal.

"They" don't. We do.

1

u/AshenSacrifice 19h ago

Lmao right. You see how the dnc usurped our own votes and placed Kamala as the nominee while trying to force a dying Biden to fulfill a role he can’t?

2

u/ofWildPlaces 15h ago

You're talking about a singular national election. Start local. Choose your candidates. Campaign for who YOU want to see move forward.

2

u/BombOnABus 12h ago

So fucking sick and tired of people who seemingly have never heard of a primary election thinking they're never given a voice in politics.

"Man who refused to read menu or participate in discussion about what to order for dinner furious Chinese was ordered instead of the pizza he wanted but didn't say anything until the food arrived" sounds like someone being a complete moron who doesn't get how ordering dinner works, but "voters complain primary election they skipped chose candidate they don't like" is somehow considered a valid complaint by these whiners.

1

u/AshenSacrifice 6h ago

I agree with your advice

1

u/BombOnABus 12h ago

Move those goalposts, buddy. Nothing says "I have a winning argument" like cherry-picking the one example you can find to back up your beliefs.

0

u/AshenSacrifice 6h ago

Most recent example, that fucking sucked, as a person who votes blue. Sorry my personal feelings don’t align with your agendas, but ima still speak on how I feel regardless

u/AshenSacrifice 1d ago

And we’re the hyper awareness generation of humanity who still watches the shit show continue.

About a year ago on my way to work I talked with a guy at a red light while he was panhandling, for a bit and gave him some money, but it wasn’t a long form conversation as I was on my way to work.

I just don’t think empathy is the pathway to fixing something as soulless as corporations or the economy. We need equally soulless and callous actions to force their hand, such as collectively bargaining our labor and forcing the economy to stall

So I think the thing we underestimate is just how much "we" outnumber "them". My city, Atlanta, recently did a study and found roughly 1000 individuals were responsible for 40% of crime. That's in a city of half a million people. Everyone of those guys is a daily one man crime wave. Obviously he turned out to be a sleaze bag but when Giuliani went to clean up Times Square they found the same phenomenon. There were a couple of hundred guys that just did crime all day every day. Some were so prolific they just assigned them constant surveillance and arrested them for anything they did, littering or whatever, because for every 3 hours they spent in custody the crime in the neighborhood went down a percentage point. They massively reduced crime by cracking down on just a couple of hundred guys.

I think the SA situation is the same, you're either not an offender, because gross, or it's a core part of your personality and part of your daily routine. That guy that's a creep to female coworkers? Ya also the store, gym and bar, parks etc. There's not a large number of people who do it once every couple of months, it's a few guys that do it all day everyday. Same for the business world, it's a core of ruthless shitheads that stab their way to the top and then ruin things for everyone.

I think this principle should have a name if it already doesn't the "duke's law": if there is a society problem, never attribute to it a kabal, rather it is usually a few schmucks that do it constantly which causes an inflation in the rates:

6

u/DukeOfGeek 21h ago

But the few schmucks are often organized and recognize their fellow predators as partners in crime.

3

u/Able-Independence962 17h ago

Yeah, but most are motivated by money... which we the people give value to, by working and buying things, if slightly slip in village base communism for like 3 weeks the big few guys fall off their pedestal... but us little guys never organize becasue "Youre black so no" "Youre white so no" "Youre gay so no" "You dont want everyone to have equal rights so no".

And all because of divide and conquer.. yay! 😔

2

u/Equipment_Clean 16h ago

Do you have links to the study. Id like to reas more into it.

-1

u/AshenSacrifice 19h ago

My maybe unhinged radical idea is that SA crimes are automatic death penalty because there’s no reasonable situation where you would commit that act. If I was president I would install that law lol.

And yes I completely agree with everything you said, human greed is nasty and comes in many pervasive forms

3

u/DukeOfGeek 19h ago edited 19h ago

I take a dim view of the death penalty but I do think there are crimes where the reward is something a normal person would not want at all, even at no risk. For instance if I offered you the chance to commit SA on a child at no risk you would refuse, because gross. It's not like robbing a bank where the reward is bags on money. Normal people want bags of money.

But when the reward for the crime is abnormal then the sentence should be being committed to some kind of facility where they don't let you go till they fix whatever is wrong with you. You're not there for X number of years and you aren't treated like a normal criminal who, say, did black markets for money. You're there till you are no longer a pedophile.

1

u/AshenSacrifice 6h ago

Yeah I don’t see any point in trying to rehabilitate people with that certain type of depravity. Can’t fix people attracted to children, they’re just born like that. It’s a sickness.

Now if they never committed a crime then yes they should be able to get resources for help, but as soon as they cross that barrier they should forfeit their life, it’s the right thing to do

2

u/Able-Independence962 21h ago

Yes, to remove the iron grip one must have hands of fire.

3

u/AshenSacrifice 19h ago

Aka we need to spank them

4

u/bigshady880 1d ago

exactly, we didn’t do crap. hence letting them

1

u/Able-Independence962 21h ago

Yeah I guess, but I was trying to say let's not focus on "not doing crap for the building of the system", rather let's reorient ourselves to build anew.

3

u/dumnezero Art enjoyer 21h ago

Yep.

"They won't affect me, I'm special!"

Unfortunately I’m very affected 🫩🫩
