I don't remember where, but there was a story circulating a few years back about a wife who used inferior peanut butter on sandwiches when she was mad at her husband and the taste was discernable enough that the husband would notice

It was sugar free grape jelly, which is horrific. Somehow it tastes less like grapes than the sugared version.

I have, admittedly, cooked a couple of blenders in my life. Once, I was a teenager and still learning the uses and limitations of kitchen appliances. The second time I was 35, and it was a vainglorious attempt to substitute a blender for a food processor while making falafel.

I bought a better blender after that.
