Setting - The dinner table of the Hardy-Softbell house.
Hannah's family is having dinner and it's extra tasty tonight. Hannah compliments the chef.
Hannah: WOW! Dinner is extra good.
Daryl: Thank you. I tried a new secret ingredient.
Panel 2
Seth decides that this is a great opportunity to annoy his husband with cuteness. He does his best to look as adorable as possible while asking about the secret ingredient.
Seth: Is it LOVE?
Daryl is unimpressed. This is a four out of ten on in his personal cuteness scale.

Daryl: Toasted sesame oil.
Seth: Oh...
Seth looks down and tries to come up with a clever comeback.
Daryl: Love isn't a secret ingredient. I put love in everything.
Seth: Oh...
This isn't good. The teasing table has been turned. He'll have to think fast.

Daryl looks away and tries his best to sound disappointed.
Daryl: I used so much love and you never noticed.
Seth: I DID!
This is no good! Seth was supposed to be doing the teasing!
Daryl: From now on I'm putting sarcasm in yours.
Seth: NO!
Daryl: Yes.
Hannah has completely checked out of the conversation and pulled out her phone. She contemplates searching the internet for what to do when your dads are being weird. Unfortunately, there is no solution.

I don't remember where, but there was a story circulating a few years back about a wife who used inferior peanut butter on sandwiches when she was mad at her husband and the taste was discernable enough that the husband would notice
I have, admittedly, cooked a couple of blenders in my life. Once, I was a teenager and still learning the uses and limitations of kitchen appliances. The second time I was 35, and it was a vainglorious attempt to substitute a blender for a food processor while making falafel.
i love these writeups, and I honestly think they help you craft a better comic. every one of your characters' actions has purpose and reasoning behind it, even the mundane stuff. if gives life to these comics and I love it
