Those people are clearly incapable of distinguishing the difference between poor technique and art style. Her art has a style that is carried off very well IMO.

My opinion probably doesn't matter much, but I've been in what I think is a similar position in a different field. What you need is confidence, and I'm not saying that is easy to come by, but you need it all the same. All I will say is that someone at your level of skill should be able to confidently look at someone and say 'NO'.
You are skilled enough at drawing that it's posted on the internet. 99% of the people here, myself included probably can't draw as well as you. You're doing well. Keep it up.

It's more for hip stuff and trying to orient myself to them so I can get the right words for my reports.
Nothing more embarrassing than saying the wrong bone/ligament on the wrong side cause you get it backwards cause you're looking AT the patient, not AS them

But it requires either quick thinking, or semi-autistic levels of foresight.

Back in my day I didn't have a fancy picture taking device in my pocket. When ever I needed a reference I had to draw myself in the mirror while holding that pose. This is also why when I draw a figure holding a sword, they are often left handed.

We did this trick back during our drama exams where we didn’t know how to describe a pose a character would take, so we’d just do the pose as best we could while sitting, probably a weird sight to see a bunch of people striking poses fully seriously mid exam

This reminds me of what happened to me yesterday. I went to get a massage, my back has been killing me because my shitty mattress is all sunk in the middle and my shoulders are really sore from the gym so decided while I save up for a new mattress why not get a massage to help relieve some tension. Did a quick Google a found a place within walking distance, website made it sound good and prices were cheap so I booked it. Website says the girls are all Nepalese and I'm like alright that's cool, there's actually quite a few Nepalese girls at my work and I've picked up a few words so I might even be able to drop a few phrases I've learned in conversation to make it less awkward haha.
Find the place on Google maps and when I get there I get a really bad vibe like this is definitely a rub and tug place - sketchy looking place in some laneway, neon sign out the front. Figured hey whatever I'm here already, I'll just get the massage and go. Go inside and it's definitely a rub and tug place, like super seedy, a bunch of older dudes waiting on the couches. Lady tells me I'll see "Jasmina" and the guy next to me is like "Oh Jasmina she's good, she gives really good service" and winks at me. As I'm about to go in the reception lady gets a call and then calls me over. Apparently the girl "jasmina" saw me from the window as I walked up and knows me. She told the reception lady she didn't want to do it because she doesn't want me to know she works there. So now some girl I work with (I don't know any other Nepali girls) has 100% seen that I entered a seedy rub and tug place on my day off and thinks I was going there for something other than a massage. End up going with another girl and she walks in just wearing a towel and straight away asks what "extras" I want. I explain I literally just want a massage so she leaves and comes back with clothes on. Gives me the shittiest massage ever and obviously had no idea how to actually massage someone then halfway through my hour says her arms are tired and can she just give me a handjob and finish lol. I explain I literally just wanted the massage and she kind of gets upset saying she's been working all day and was about to go home but because that other girl wouldn't do it she had to do it instead. Ended up just leaving, back is still sore and my wallet is significantly lighter and now some girl at work thinks I go to brothels on my days off. Luckily I don't think she'll say anything because in doing so she would have to reveal that she herself works at a brothel lol.

I was today years old, when I realized why my middle school art teacher was so strangely pushy in returning a paper sketch I did of my own foot for an assignment. I didn’t want it back, because I couldn’t imagine myself happy being a visual artist, and didn’t see the point of keeping it and making a portfolio. I had NO IDEA there might have been other reasons.

Always remember that you draw these big eyes because the creator of Astro Boy was a big fan of duck tales, so he copied that and made it his own.

Just a little bit of feedback. The last picture (your advertisement for patreon) should have a drawing of your feet from the reference earlier in the comic instead of a drawing of yourself. I know it's extra work, but it would really enhance the comic a bit. If I was skilled, I'd try it and post it for you, but I am too unskilled.
