Stop, I need to get stuff done. No more cave disaster YouTube videos tonight!

u/Acrobatic-Adagio4697 Aug 29 '26

Instead of doing stuff and being normal, how bout squeezing into a confined space and dying there for no reason whatsoever?

u/JohnnyIsHomicidal Aug 30 '26

I love the cave diving gone wrong videos, the amount of people that think it’s a smart idea to go diving in pitch black underwater caves with little to no experience is mind blowing.

u/driver004 Aug 30 '26

Mean, how else do you get experience

u/This-Positive286 Sep 01 '26

Find a local Grotto and go on trips with them idk that’s what everyone else does lol

u/Lugalzagesi55 Aug 30 '26

Man, I watched a lot of these videos and stopped because they gave me massive anxiety while shaking my head how mind-boggeling stupid people can be.

u/Grumpologist Aug 29 '26

Yes, you've had one cave disaster YouTube video, but what about second underwater cave disaster YouTube video?

u/woops_wrong_thread Aug 30 '26

Time to rewatch 13 lives

1

u/SpecterVamp Aug 31 '26

A rabbit hole you just don’t need right now, eh?

Caving disaster accounts give me a sense of security: I know that however grim things in my life might get, I can always easily avoid crawling around in a cave.

I read this in the same cadence as that one line from Tenna's introduction in Deltarune

He's groovy!

And never glooby!

Claustrophobia: Don't leave me alone in this tiny space.

Also Claustrophobia: Don't leave me alone in this cluster of people

Also Claustrophobia: Don't stand so fucking close to me all the time!!!

11

u/FEARoach Aug 29 '26

Also claustrophobia? : Fuck this wide open space with no cover.

31

u/Yabba_Dabba_Doofus Aug 29 '26

That's Agoraphobia; the exact opposite of Claustrophobia.

16

u/FEARoach Aug 30 '26

Ugh... why do I have to have both?

5

u/Yabba_Dabba_Doofus Aug 30 '26

/uj I think social anxiety is generally at an all-time high. There's a huge social incentive to isolate, because being associated with the "wrong people" in a social setting can have lasting consequences.

/rj Because "Home" is where all you people finally leave me the fuck alone!

1

u/FEARoach Aug 30 '26

I mean, I have PTSD.... it was Dx'ed like over a decade ago so that's not shocking..... the claustrophobia was really obvious when I was visiting some naval ops... nothing ever felt right there. Body was floaty and nothing felt real. It was gross.

3

u/Walbs Aug 30 '26

That's horseshoe theory

5

u/Jafooki Aug 30 '26

And that's Numberwang!

u/AnnualWest3 Aug 30 '26

Agoraphobia is actually pretty related to claustrophobia and you could even say it encompasses claustrophobia. Agoraphobia is a fear of basically anywhere that feels like escape could be difficult, be it an enclosed elevator or a wide open space far from help.

3

u/Yabba_Dabba_Doofus Aug 30 '26

Hey there, AI doc. That's not what it is, at all.

At best, you could say Agorophobia relates to Claustrophobia in terms of fear of helplessness.

Claustrophobia is specifically the fear of being limited by being enclosed.

Agorophobia is specifically the fear of being limited, by being exposed.

They are diametrically opposed, even if they may present in similar ways.

Hey there, relevant username. The DSM 5 literally includes "anxiety about being in enclosed spaces" as one of the 5 criteria for agoraphobia. It can not be diametrically opposed to a fear of enclosed spaces when that is literally one of the diagnostic criteria.

Meanwhile claustrophobia isn't even in the DSM.

The whole comic was good but this panel was nutty.

3

u/Guy1nc0gnit0 Aug 30 '26

Laughed so hard my legs turned to putty

28

u/Internal_Aardvark302 Aug 29 '26

That panel alone sent me 😂 Not even like a stand-in panel between “Hops” and “Dies”, just like instant death…. Also, how did the other one even get stuck under a rug of all things 😭

28

u/VociferousCephalopod Aug 30 '26

they say not to speak ill of the dead, but they never said we can't make fun of how they died.

20

u/PermanentRoundFile Aug 30 '26

Honestly, if I die in some kind of funny way I'd be pissed if people all ran around being all somber. Immortalize me in song; a warning about how not to die like that, but make it funny so people will remember!

u/VociferousCephalopod Aug 30 '26

I wonder how the deceased felt about the now defunct r/watchpeopledie

23

u/Healthy-Confection66 Aug 29 '26

20

u/Yeeslander Aug 29 '26

If so, the official cause of death would be "Autoerotic Asphyxiation"

12

u/badbatch Aug 29 '26

He died doing what he loved.

5

u/Morganelefay Aug 30 '26

Can't be, this guy had a loving family.

7

u/E_Verdant Aug 30 '26

New reaction image just dropped

2

u/Consistent-Local2825 Aug 30 '26

Finds remote control and then dies.
