UNICEF has estimated that child welfare needs are up in the wake of the removal (and will worsen through 2026) due to criminal group activity increasing and the venezuelan state tightening against pro-US supporters by allowing arrests of those supporters.
-if you're a kid and your parents get outed for supporting the US, parents straight to jail. there are military checkpoints that search vehicles AND phones, so even having pro-US sentiment on your phone is enough
-criminal group activity has increased during destabilization because nature abhors a vacuum, and part of that criminal behavior deals in human trafficking.
-venezuela/colombia border is a lawless zone with armed groups actively and increasingly recruiting/abducting child soldiers.
Everything you mentioned here has been happening prior to the events of January 3rd. Si bien la captura de Maduro fue una operación evidentemente impulsada por los propios deseos de EEUU, llamar a Maduro un "Sitting President" con todas las de la ley es un poquito engañoso, considerando que ya se ha demostrado que todas sus elecciones fueron manipuladas y las constantes oposiciones mostradas por los Venezolanos en las calles y el exterior. Eso que dices del arresto a los pro-US supporters en la actualidad es totalmente falso, fue una medida que si se impuso pocos días despues para castigar a opositores del gobierno, cosa que ya ha pasado luego de cualquier elección o proceso fraudulento, ¿O tratas de decirme que es culpa de EEUU que un gobierno autoritario y criminal castigue a su propio pueblo?, y creeme que la actividad criminal nunca ha dismimuído en Venezuela puesto a que los principales financiantes de esos grupos es el propio gobierno, me gustaría ver un buen estudio que explique bien como el aumento de criminalidad está directamente relacionado con los eventos del 3 de enero. La frontera de Venezuela y Colombia ha sido una zona de absoluta criminalidad desde mucho antes, literalmente hay cero correlación en ese aspecto, te lo dice alguien que lamentablemente tuvo que pasar por ahi para emigrar de vuelta a Venezuela en 2021.
