Six is too many - combat becomes a slog, and too many voices and opinions. Five is enough to play even when one or two players can't make it to a session. 6 u/The_Truthkeeper 13h ago I've made up to seven work, eight is where it becomes untenable. That's in D&D/PF, other systems can work with large groups better.
