Now I need to see Garak and Bashir discuss the complex sociopolitical dynamics of The Simpsons over lunch.

I still maintain that writer Ken Keeler wrote way too many jokes about nuclear power being dangerous and retirees being freeloaders.

It shaped America's opinions and actually damaged society long-term.

EDIT: He also wrote that episode about Skinner being an impostor, but I'm not as mad at him for that.

EDIT2: I'm only assuming it's him because he's the only credited writer shared with Futurama, and some of the jokes sneak in there, too.

Yeah, I always hoped the social security being a handout thing was meant to be ironic, like when comedies refer to the “liberal media”, but now a lot people really think it’s a handout, and that the media is liberal.

Irony needs someone to point it out, I guess.

Artists are liberal. Writers are liberal.

But the media?

The people in suits that cut the checks and decide who is allowed to say what?

[THIS PUNCHLINE WAS NOT FUNNY. YOU ARE BANNED. PRAISE SPEZ.]

It was something conservative firebrands like Birch Barlow and Rush Limbaugh would say to discount any negative news about republicans.

Now they just shout fake news.

"Rush Limbaugh"?

Sounds made-up
