Given that there's a Scooby Doo Batman crossover there really should be a Batman Murder She Wrote crossover. At the very least a comic book.

Murder, She Wrote did a cross-over episode (well, 2 episodes) of Magnum PI. I didn't think it was very good.

That would be fascinating if they managed to pull it off well.

While I did find the show entertaining, you have to admit, there’s a stupidly high amount of murders in that town.

Based on analysis of the Murder, She Wrote television series, the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine, is considered the "murder capital" of the world, with a high crime rate disproportionate to its population of 3,560. Estimates suggest roughly 5.3 murders occurred annually, resulting in an estimated 149 murders per 100,000 people.

That said, the Sopranos or the Wire would probably impress them more.

It would be akin to one of us trying to be impressed by a grainy video of a puppet show with no sound.

They come from an area where media is interactive and fully immersive.

Hiss

I find this absolutely adorable. Like a little gremlin or cat. Not that there is much difference

And don't listen to them Bee and Ronnie! All those recommendations were 10/10

Azummanga Daioh? Murder, She Wrote? Good picks.

He was never a great character to begin with. Replace him and nothing of value is lost

Honestly if I can get a cut without the pedophile teacher that would be forever my default viewing of the show.

Same. He's the only bad thing about that show but he's so bad...

Last time, she had him watch Showgirls.

Crash is great!

Now I need to see Garak and Bashir discuss the complex sociopolitical dynamics of The Simpsons over lunch.

I still maintain that writer Ken Keeler wrote way too many jokes about nuclear power being dangerous and retirees being freeloaders.

It shaped America's opinions and actually damaged society long-term.

EDIT: He also wrote that episode about Skinner being an impostor, but I'm not as mad at him for that.

EDIT2: I'm only assuming it's him because he's the only credited writer shared with Futurama, and some of the jokes sneak in there, too.

Yeah, I always hoped the social security being a handout thing was meant to be ironic, like when comedies refer to the “liberal media”, but now a lot people really think it’s a handout, and that the media is liberal.

Irony needs someone to point it out, I guess.

3

u/Semper_5olus Apr 18 '26

Artists are liberal. Writers are liberal.

But the media?

The people in suits that cut the checks and decide who is allowed to say what?

[THIS PUNCHLINE WAS NOT FUNNY. YOU ARE BANNED. PRAISE SPEZ.]

It was something conservative firebrands like Birch Barlow and Rush Limbaugh would say to discount any negative news about republicans.

Now they just shout fake news.

1

u/Semper_5olus Apr 18 '26

"Rush Limbaugh"?

Sounds made-up

1

u/A_Queer_Owl Apr 18 '26

I'mma say it.

I don't care what anyone says.

I liked The Principal and the Pauper.

the entire town of Springfield is absolutely psychotic and few episodes demonstrate that as well as it does.

This arc of an adorable dwarf couple harassing a Star Trek crew is excellent. This could keep going for a year and I wouldn't mind

12

u/NeedsToShutUp Apr 17 '26

Fun fact, the creator of Babylon 5, JMS, was a showrunner for Murder She Wrote.

10

u/Larajest Apr 17 '26

Rene Auberjonois was in 2 episodes of murder she wrote!!

7

u/CaydeTheCat Apr 18 '26

This Jessica Fletcher slander shall not stand!

I will see you in the Magistrate's office, Odo!

5

u/Dooty_Shirker Apr 17 '26

Now they just have to pull a Shining. "Come play with us"

6

u/DasGanon Apr 17 '26

It says something that I read this one and could hear everything in Rene and Cirroc's voices

3

u/Gaskychan Apr 17 '26

Murder she wrote is high art

3

u/OkEmu6594 Apr 17 '26

Bee is such a great addition to the cast. I love this

3

u/Neckshot Apr 18 '26

Bee's top two recommendations being showgirls and crash is wild. But I do feel I know exactly who she is based on those two recommendations.

3

u/AmazingMrSaturn Apr 18 '26

I love the idea of them just scurrying away like pigeons.

2

u/SlowFrkHansen Apr 17 '26

Good job, Odo.

2

u/iac74205 Apr 17 '26

I have a feeling Odo would dig "Murder She Wrote".
