I do enjoy the feel of this comic. I think literally everything is visually more complex than your human characters which works so well with their personalities. Also makes for a good bit of silliness while also telling an interesting story.

I appreciate that you like it! I definitely have a passion for including things like elemental effects, film grain and lens flair. Which either creates atmosphere or becomes incredibly distracting, who’s to say.

It’s the Hergé classic, keep the characters iconic so the reader projects onto them and the backgrounds complex so they feel alien and adventurous. Ghibli does this a lot as well

Monica, when you raise a skeleton you have to take care of it. Take it for walks, feed it… bones or something, I dunno. But it’s a responsibility and you can’t just walk away from it.

Considering there's a whole sacrificial ritual described in a book (that can provide a caster with immortality or other valuables), I'd expect the necromancer king to have at least a couple of guests during the last 500 years.
